Job ready in weeks

Short term job focused training programs are taking job seekers fancy. Eager to start working and impatient to spend long years in class rooms, many are taking these courses that will make them ‘Job ready in weeks’.

The employers are also in favor of these courses. According to a survey (The Week-Nielsen) around 92 percent of the employers are ready to recruit candidates who have completed a Job oriented course after graduation. 46 percent students want to do a job oriented course to fetch a good job.

Sector specific training is becoming important in sectors such as Retailing, Insurance and Telecom. Employers increasingly want to ensure people coming to them have well rounded personality.

Thus Skill training has become essential for any Job aspirant.

• Retail Sector- 22 lakh by 2011
• BFSI- 10 lakh in the next five years
• IT 5 lakh in two years
• Hospitality Sector- 54,000 in the premium segment in 2010
